Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home to find his old friends, Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) waiting for him. Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger. All this action will require the proper sonic landscape, and Esquire may have gotten their hands on a leaked list. Check it out!
TRAINSPOTTING boasts one of my favorite soundtracks to a film, and while there are a few easy picks on the list above, I’m happy with the bulk of it. One of my qualms with the trailer for T2 (aside from that awful title) is that it has throwbacks to the original film, which I don’t think is really necessary. This soundtrack seems to follow suit (with the return of Iggy Pop and Underworld) but I’m still curious to check this one out when it hits stateside.
T2 TRAINSPOTTING hits theaters on March 10, 2017.
