Man that little hobbit, Dominic Monaghan, sure is making a name for himself in the world of horror! Actually to digress a bit, all of the hobbits have been making a name in horror, huh? 

We've got Monaghan would also starred in last years creeper-feature PET, Elijah Wood who can't seem to stop making quality horror flicks (MANIAC, COOTIES). Then there's Sean Astin who recently joined up with STRANGER THINGS S2. And finally there is little Pippin, Billy Boyd, who… well, he was the voice of Glenn (or was it Glenda?) in the straight-comedy-sequel SEED OF CHUCKY.

Anyhow, go figure. Working with gore-master Peter Jackson for ten straight fuc*ing years will give anyone a love for horror. Good job, Peter! Now it's time for YOU to come back to the genre.

That'd be epic…

Anyways until Peter Jackson pulls a DRAG ME TO HELL and returns to horror, we'll have to make due with Monaghan and scifi-thrillers. From the looks of the trailer for ATOMICA, maybe that's not such a bad deal.

ATOMICA synopsis:

In the near future, when communications go offline at a remote nuclear power plant isolated in the desert, a young safety inspector, Abby Dixon, is forced to fly out to bring them back online. Once inside the facility, mysterious clues and strange behaviors cause Abby to have doubts about the sanity, and perhaps identities, of the two employees onsite.

ATOMICA is written by Kevin Burke, Fred Fernandez-Armesto, and Adam Gyngell, and directed by Dagen Merrill. The film stars Dominic Monaghan, Tom Sizemore, Sarah Habel

ATOMICA hits theaters March 17, and then soon after on VOD and Digital HD on March 21.
