It's been almost seven months since we saw the first trailer for director Sylvain White's SLENDER MAN, a creepypasta-inspired horror film that was originally scheduled for a May 18, 2018 release. The film was then bounced to August 24th before being moved up to August 10th… so with the release now just two weeks away, it seems an appropriate time to get another trailer.
Written by David Birke, SLENDER MAN stars Joey King, Julia Goldani-Telles, Jaz Sinclair, Annalise Basso, and Javier Botet. The synopsis:
In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of SLENDER MAN. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, HIS latest victim.
I don't have high hopes for SLENDER MAN, actually my hype level is right around zero for this one, but it does appear to have a dark atmosphere and some interesting imagery.
Check out the new trailer below, but beware: "once you see him, you can't unsee him."
