Sin City: A Dame to Kill For moves to August 2014

Curse the Movie Gods!

If you were looking forward to checking out the sequel to 2005's SIN CITY this October we've got some bad news for you. It seems that the Frank Miller/Robert Rodriguez-directed SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR has been bumped back from its original October 4 2013 release to August 22 2014. No reason has yet been given for the delay but the folks over at Ain't It Cool have heard that the delay is for effects work and is not at all representative of the quality of the film or the confidence Dimension has in it. Seeing as how involved Rodriguez is in the post-work on his films I'm certain he's wanting more time to perfect it. Still, this is kind of a bummer as many of us were looking forward to checking this one out this fall.

The film stars Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Julia Garner and Stacy Keach.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR weaves together two of Frank Miller's classic stories with new tales in which the town's most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to "The Big Fat Kill" (featured in the film Frank Miller's Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.

As always, we'll keep you posted on news regarding SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR as we hear it.
