Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are in the midst of a casting frenzy. Less than a day after the news broke that Joseph Gordon-Levitt had joined the cast of SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, word has spread that the sequel just nabbed Christopher Meloni, best known for his stints on “Oz” and “Law and Order: SVU.” He also guest-starred on HBO’s “True Blood” last summer.
Deadline.com claims that Meloni will be playing a cop in the film, a role not unfamiliar to the actor who spent 12 years playing a hot-headed detective on “L&O:SVU.” Unfortunately, it’s unclear if the character is hero or villain, but that line is easily blurred in Sin City, of course.
In addition to Meloni and Gordon-Levitt, the ever-growing cast of SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR includes Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, Alexa Vega, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie King and Jamie Chung.
The film opens October 4th.
