Who doesn’t love Simon Pegg? Whether he is playing with the big boys in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE or STAR TREK, Pegg has always brought something special and unique to tons of films like HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS, THE BOXTROLLS, and his three films with Nick Frost and Edgar Wright. His latest film, KILL ME THREE TIMES, puts the British actor into a role we have never seen before: a cold-blooded killer.
In what looks like an action-comedy in the same style as Quentin Tarantino, Joe Carnahan, or Roger Avary, KILL ME THREE TIMES assembles a mostly Australian cast for a movie loaded with sex, guns, and one-liners.
A mercurial assassin (Simon Pegg) discovers he isn’t the only person trying to kill the siren (Alice Braga) of a sun-drenched surfing town. In this darkly comedic thriller, the hitman finds himself unravelling three tales of mayhem, murder, blackmail and revenge.
Pegg looks solid in the movie but something tells me his scenes in the movie are mostly what we see in the trailer. Even so, he seems to be accenting an already good cast that features fan favorite Bryan Brown (F/X, yeah!) and the sexy Teresa Palmer. Hopefully this movie ends up as good as this trailer.
KILL ME THREE TIMES starring Sullivan Stapleton, Alice Braga, Teresa Palmer, Callan Mulvey, Luke Hemsworth, Bryan Brown and Simon Pegg hits On Demand and iTunes on March 26, 2015 and in theaters on April 10, 2015.
