Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are Truth Seekers in images from Amazon series

First announced at the start of 2018 and picked up by Amazon in August of 2019, the horror comedy series Truth Seekers – produced by and starring the duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost – went into production last September. We're still waiting to hear when Amazon plans to premiere the series, but while we wait a batch of images from the show have arrived online.

The images can be seen below and give us our first look at characters played by Pegg, Frost, Malcolm McDowell, Susan Wokoma, Samson Kayo, and Emma D'Arcy.

The first season of Truth Seekers is expected to consist of eight half-hour episodes, which were directed by Jim Field Smith from scripts Pegg and Frost wrote with Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz.

Truth Seekers is "set in a mysterious world filled with dread and just-out-of-sight monsters" and is said to mix "the very funny with the very scary, in an exciting take on genre storytelling". The show is about

a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.

A series like that from the minds of Pegg, Frost, and their collaborators sounds like a good time to me, so hopefully it won't be much longer before it's available to watch.
