Sign Here: Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been tapped to produce a series adaptation over at Amazon

Ms. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is seeing great success lately with her critical and audience-popular hit, Fleabag, her inclusion into the James Bond world with a writing credit on No Time to Die, and starring alongside Henry Jones Jr. himself in the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Now, Variety is reporting that the Emmy Award-winning writer and actress will be adapting the horror novel, Sign Here, as a series for Amazon.

The official synopsis for the new horror series describes it as, “a darkly humorous, utterly gripping debut novel about a guy who works in Hell (literally). Peyote Trip has a pretty good gig in the deals department on the fifth floor of Hell. Sure, none of the pens work, the coffee machine has been out of order for a century, and the only drink on offer is Jägermeister, but it’s still Hell and after waiting a millennium he comes up with a plan that might just change his life (and death) forever.”

Waller-Bridge is signed on (pun intended) as executive producer of the series via Wells Street Films. She is joined by the author of the book, Claudia Lux, who is attached to co-write and executive produce. This project lies under the Amazon overall deal that Waller-Bridge has has with the studio and she just renewed her contract.

There is no additional news as to who they plan on casting or signing aboard as director. This is the second development deal from Waller-Bridge that has recently been announced within the past year. She additionally scored a development on a series back in March of 2022, of which any details are yet to be known.

Sign Here is a novel that was published in October of last year with mostly positive reviews. The novel serves as Lux’s first and with a series deal out of the gate, it’s not a bad debut at all. Lux is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and has a master’s degree in social work from UT-Austin. She is repped by UTA and Lucy Cleland at Kneerim & Williams. Waller-Bridge is represented by UTA, Hatton McEwan Penford, Independent Talent and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
