Awesome
idea to do something like this by the way… My name’s Jason P.
Anyway, I
love movies. I’ve been collecting them since 1997, with my first
ever DVD being The Lost Boys. I have more than what is shown in the
picture below, since it was taken a while ago, but I am currently
closing in on 800 DVD’s.

I
have a 46″ Toshiba High Def Widescreen TV, Digital Cable HD
Box, Playstation 2, VCR, Toshiba DVD Player, Receiver and 5.1
Surround Sound. Nothing too fancy, but I would like to upgrade
someday. I’ve got Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3 and Rocks the 80’s and play
them religiously by the way.
My
wife and I moved into our new house last October, and we didn’t know
what to do in the basement, or man room as I like to
call it. We brainstormed, and it hit me…I want to go all
out, get some huge movie posters, frame them, put em in glass, do it
right….Narrowing the list was not easy, but ultimately, I decided
on Sin City, mainly cause Bruce Willis is one of my favorite
actors, but the poster is awesome and the movie rules too.
The
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a classic, and since horror is my
favorite genre, I had to put Leatherface on my wall, along with
Freddy and Jason.
What
better way to save money and get both guys on one poster than to get
the Freddy vs. Jason poster. The movie wasn’t too bad
either.
I
also chose Halloween since the poster is amazing, and the
movie is one of the best horror flicks of all time, and also, John
Carpenter is one of my favorite directors too. The Lost Boys,
as I said earlier, was the first DVD I ever bought, and the movie is
one of my all time favs, so I HAD to get this poster. I love how it
looks like Kiefer is staring right at you too.
The
Exorcist poster was easy for me to pick. Again, I love horror,
and this is the scariest movie I have ever seen, so I had to get it.
The poster is great too, with the light from Regan’s room shining
right on Father Merrin.
Last
but not least, Star Wars. I loved em as a kid, and I love em
now. I actually think Empire Strikes Back is the better film, but
the posters for it were not the best, so I chose Return of the Jedi.
It has Leah in her slave outfit, yes, but the best part is Darth up
top, looking over everyone. Great poster!
There
you have it, my “man room” if you will. Lots of props go
