Just read the requirements below and drop us a line at [email protected] with pics, videos and commentary about your nifty stuff and your collection might be the next one up here.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Please include any basic personal info on yourself, so others could know who the f*ck you are. Age, sex, geographical location, what you do in life, etc….
2) Take some pictures or videos of any cool shit you have in your pad, and send it along with your message to us. Make sure that every picture/video is explained and you don’t just send us a bunch of pics and say “Here’s my shit!”, cause that’s not what we’re looking for. We need some words attached to the pics, what they are, where you might’ve got it, shit like that.

To start off, here are 3 of my favourite movie figurines. On the far left, there’s my sweet Predator collectible followed by two incarnations of the character in Predator 2. All of them are from Todd McFarlane, who does a really good job at capturing the feeling of the characters he recreates. I bought all 3 of them at a local video store which also happens to sale these goodies. My favourite probably is the first one, because of the level of details involved and the obvious badass look of the Predator (the first movie is the best in my opinion.)
Then, also from Mr. McFarlane are my two Terminator figurines. The one on the left is obviously from the oh-so-legendary finale of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, by far the best in the series. The other one I got just because it looked cool, but I honestly don’t think T3 is that good of a sequel. Oh well. By the way, that T3 toy is nearly impossible to set straight without it falling down every two seconds (well not with my level of patience). So that pretty much sums up the “collectible” section of my collection, so let’s see the DVDs!
Here’s the first part of my collection, for which I had to relocate some of my clothes to fit in! Yeah, I know, buying a library would probably be useful, but for the time being, this is my set-up. That’s pretty much the A through G section of my collection, which is now of 280 movies. Of the ones shown on this picture, my favourite DVD probably is the Criterion Edition of “The Double Life of Véronique” because of the high quality of the set. Great restoration and numerous bonus features. I like. As you noticed, I sorted them in alphabetical order, which helps when I’m trying to find a DVD amongst almost 300.
Now, this is the first drawer containing letters H to P. There’s about 70 in this section with the “Memento” DVD being one of my fave. At first, I was confused by the menu (those who own it know what I’m saying), but the movie itself is actually 10 times more confusing. If you care to know, I buy most of them (used) at a small video store near my place. When I say small, I mean small. You couldn’t fit more then a living room in there. Anyways, the owner sells them for a very cheap price (9-10$) compared to the 25$ average price of a new one.
This is the second drawer which contains the rest of the regular DVDs (TV sets and Box Sets are in the last one). As you can see, not much space is left, so when I hit the 300-mark the whole thing is probably gonna crack wide open. In this section, my pick is Sin City: Recut and Extended for the obvious awesomeness of the movie and the galore of extras (thanks Mr. Rodriguez). On the down side, I bought a shitty edition of “I Stand Alone” (original title: “Seul contre tous”) which as one the worst transfer ever. Whatever, I’ll change it soon.
Last but not least is the third drawer, which contains all my TV sets including all 6 seasons of 24 (my favourite show). You can also see “Band of Brothers”, which is the first DVD I ever bought, even before I had a DVD player. What a first choice! The first season of “Six Feet Under” will soon be a part of the family, for I heard it was a pretty solid show.
That’s all folks!
