Short but sweet behind-the-scenes featurette for The Expendables 2

The old-school action reunion pic from director Simon West, THE EXPENDABLES 2 unleashed a short, but cool behind-the-scenes featurette today, showcasing the stars, weapons, and stunts of the film.  A little ironic that this is released on the same day that a lawsuit was filed against the filmmakers in a wrongful death claim for one of the stuntmen killed during production.  Regardless, the featurette has got some interesting bits and pieces to entice you.

Stallone’s claim that this will “Never, EVER happen again” is a pretty bold statement.  In the words of Major General Franklin Kirby from Schwarzenegger’s COMMANDO from the final scene of the film, “Until the next time.” 

I think box office receipts will determine a third outing, but I do agree with Stallone that it’s a minor miracle they were able to get this cast all in one place for one movie. And I’m thankful for it. 

THE EXPENDABLES 2 is slated to wreck havoc on August 17, 2012.
