Shang-Chi featurette dives into the history of Marvel’s latest hero

A new featurette and poster for Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings has been released and it gives us a little bit of backstory on the history of Shang-Chi and his connection to the Ten Rings.

In the new featurette called "Destiny",  producer Kevin Feige, stars Simu Liu and Awkwafina, and director Destin Daniel Cretton explore Shang-Chi’s backstory and his connection to the Ten Rings. The new look also delivers on action and shows that Shang-Chi is definitely ready to take his place in the MCU. You can check out the featurette at the top of the page. 

Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.

Filming began on the project in February 2020 but was put on hold in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in August before the film finally wrapped in October. The film was shuffled a bit on the calendar due to the pandemic but Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings will finally be released on September 3, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
