Seth Rogen enters Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone

The killer trailer for CBS All Access and Jordan Peele's upcoming reboot of THE TWILIGHT ZONE hit last week and since then we have all been counting down the days until the show arrives on April Fool's Day (or will it?). Recently we passed along the news that Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time), James Frain (Star Trek: Discovery), and Zabryna Guevara (Gotham) are all in the cast of an episode titled Point of Origin. And today we have word that Seth Rogen has joined the cast of the revival series as well. Yes, that Seth Rogen. Rogen himself took to Twitter to confirm the news writing:

I’m gonna be on the Twilight Zone, which is one of my favorite shows of all time, and also I look like I’m attending the premiere of a pretty classy porno movie in 1974 in this photo.

Here's the photo he mentions. For those of you that have been living under a rock since the mid-2000s, Rogen is best known for roles in films such as… oh, you know what, never mind. The actor will star on an episode written by Alex Rubens who is best known for penning the Jordan Peele, Keegan Micheal-Key comedy KEANU along with writing for shows such as COMMUNITY, KEY AND PEELE, and RICK & MORTY.

Most details on these episodes have been kept under wraps, but here's what we do know: Sanaa Lathan is in an episode titled Rewind, Adam Scott stars in Nightmare at 30,000 Feet, a remake of the classic Twilight Zone story Nightmare at 20,000 Feet; Jacob Tremblay, Erica Tremblay, John Cho, and Allison Tolman are in an episode called The Wunderkind, about a child President. In addition to that, Steven Yeun and Greg Kinnear star in an episode called The Traveler, which is about two cops and a mysterious traveler (Yeun being the traveler in question); and Kumail Nanjiani is in an unspecified episode. DeWanda Wise, Jessica Williams, Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White, and Jonathan Whitesell make up the cast of another unspecified episode, and yet another episode stars Taissa Farmiga, Rhea Seehorn, Luke Kirby, Ike Barinholtz, and Percy Hynes-White.

THE FIRST PURGE director Gerard McMurray helms at least one episode. And there's an episode called Last Shuttle that has a vague synopsis:

a group of astronauts dealing with a crisis.

The Twilight Zone is being produced by Peele's company Monkeypaw, Simon Kinberg's Genre Films, and CBS Television Studios. Peele and Kinberg are executive producing the show with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Rick Berg, Marco Ramirez, Greg Yaitanes, and Carol Serling. Hosted and narrated by GET OUT's Jordan Peele, the new Twilight Zone will premiere on the CBS All Access streaming service on Monday, April 1st.
