Servant season 4 may already be in active development

Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan has said that he sees the Apple TV+ series Servant playing out in “40 parts”, so he’ll need four of the show’s ten episode seasons to complete his vision. Season 3 of Servant won’t premiere until January 21st, but it looks like Apple TV+ is going to allow Shyamalan to get all 40 parts of Servant out into the world: our friends at Bloody Disgusting noticed that Production Weekly already has Servant season 4 listed as being in “active development”. This is sure to be good news to fans of the show, as it seems they’re going to get the full story as intended.

Shyamalan once said that his dream version of Servant would have a total of 60 episodes, but he eventually lowered the count by twenty.

A psychological thriller series created by Tony Basgallop, Servant centers on

a Philadelphia couple in mourning. An unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage, but also welcomes a mysterious force into their home. Following its suspenseful season one finale, the second season of Servant takes a supernatural turn. As Leanne returns to the brownstone and her true nature is revealed, a darker future for all lies ahead.

TV Line informs us that Servant season 3

picks up three months after the death of Aunt Josephine and the events of the Season 2 finale, and Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) is extra paranoid. The poor girl, who now seems well-ensconced in the Turner household, is having nightmares of her creepy “aunt” and the horrors she left behind in the Church of the Lesser Saints. Despite the family’s hopes for normalcy with their returned baby Jericho, it’s very clear that they’re not out of the woods just yet. Not even close.

Nell Tiger Free’s co-stars include Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, and Rupert Grint. Sunita Mani is joining the cast in season 3.
