Last month we learned that we'll be smelling the lovely stench of SEPTIC MAN on August 12 when it make its VOD debut just before hitting select theaters on August 15. If you happen to miss those two dates, however, you can always pick the film up on DVD when it hits shelves on August 19. So on the heels of that wonderful news comes the all new trailer for the award-winning horror film and it looks insanely weird. Which shouldn't come as much of a surprise because it's about a sewage worker who, after getting trapped in a septic tank, endures a very shitty transformation. Dig it below and try not to get any on you!
Directed by Jesse Thomas Cook, the film was written by PONTYPOOL scribe Tony Burgess and follows the origin story of…
…Jack, a sewage worker who is determined to uncover the cause of the town's water contamination crisis. During his investigation, he becomes trapped underground in a septic tank and undergoes a hideous transformation. He must team up with a docile Giant and confront a murdering madman in order to escape. Septic Man is an odyssey into the darkest depths of gross-out horror.
The cast features Jason Brown in the title role, with Molly Dunsworth (HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN), Robert Maillet (PACIFIC RIM), Timothy Burd (SAW 2 & 3), Julian Richings (SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD) and Stephen McHattie.
