If you’re like me you can’t wait to see TRANSFORMERS this summer and the news of its release date being moved up sounds f*cking awesome! Yup that’s right, TRANSFORMERS has been moved up from July 4th to July 3rd. And yeah, I know what you’re thinking “that’s just one day!” But trust me, you’ll be thanking the move come July 3rd.
The move follows the current trend for big movies which is to have a longer opening weekend to rake in the dough before the next juggernaut film opens. And in this case, the move was in reaction to HARRY POTTER: ORDER OF THE PHOENIX being moved up a couple days to July 11th. Still though, TRANSFORMERS will now be cutting into Bruce Willis’ comeback in LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, since that film opens June 27th. Geez, this is one crowded summer.
