Marvel Universe's are already starting to collide. Well, kind of. Michael Peña (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Fantasy Island)is set to join Owen Wilson in Paramount's Secret Headquarters, from Project Power directing duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.
Joost, Schulman, and Josh Koenigsberg are currently working on the lastest draft. The story is based on an original screenplay by Christopher Yost (Thor: Ragnarok, The Mandalorian), who's also an accomplished comic book writer. In the past, Yost has written several X-Men and Spider-Man titles for Marvel, in addition to stories for Deadpool, Runaways, New Warriors, and more.
Described by Deadline as a high-concept family action film, Secret Headquarters is about a kid who discovers the secret headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home and must defend it with his group of friends when villains attack. Paramount has set a release date of August 12, 2022, for the family-friendly adventure.
Rounding out the cast for Secret Headquarters is Walker Scobell (The Adam Project), Momona Tamada (The Baby-Sitters Club), Keith L. Williams (Good Boys), Abby James Witherspoon (Hot Pursuit), and Kezii Curtis (Charm City Kings).
While you can find Wilson currently starring in Marvel's Loki as TVA Agent Mobius M. Mobius, Peña is set to play Tom Lopez in Roland Emmerich's Moonfall. In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact, and against all odds, a ragtag team launches an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love and risking everything to land on the lunar surface and save our planet from annihilation. The film also stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Charlie Plummer, Wenwen Yu, Eme Ikuwakor, Carolina Bartczak, and Maxim Roy, as well as others.
