Second season of The Terror gets first cast member, Cristina Rodlo

Based on Dan Simmons' 2007 novel of the same name, the first season of the AMC series The Terror told the story of a doomed journey to the Arctic in the 1840s. For the second season, The Terror is shifting into anthology mode to tell an original story created by Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein. The new season is expected to premiere on AMC sometime in 2019, and now the first cast member has signed on.

Cristina Rodlo, who has worked primarily on Spanish-language film and television projects since starting her screen career 10 years ago, has signed on to the play series regular role of Luz, "a nursing student who must make some tough decisions between her personal and professional life."

Woo serves as showrunner on season 2, which is set 100 years after its predecessor, taking place 

during World War II and centering on an uncanny specter that menaces a Japanese-American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific.

An AMC Studios production, The Terror is produced by Scott Free, Emjag Productions and Entertainment 360, with Woo, Borenstein, and Simmons executive producing alongside Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert, and Guymon Casady.

Like the first season, the second season of The Terror will consist of 10 episodes… And I intend to get around to watching the 10 episodes of the first season sometime before season 2 begins, although it doesn't sound like it will matter which order you watch the seasons in.
