While AMC now attempts to deal with a lawsuit thrown their way by former “Walking Dead” showrunner Frank Darabont, the network will also soon have to prepare to debut the second half of Season Four after an uneven first half. (Uneven in this writer’s opinion, that is.) So what’s in store following the cataclysmic mid-season finale?
Some SPOILERS regarding the first half of Season Four follow:
According to current showrunner Scott Gimple, the game has definitely changed, at least for the two central characters of Rick and Carl Grimes, who have just lost their safe haven, baby Judith, and the rest of the group.
“It’s going to hit [Rick] in a way that we haven’t seen before… If it’s just the two of them, [Carl is] going to have to step up quite a bit because circumstances are wildly different and a lot will depend on him in terms of them just surviving. They don’t have an awesome, dual-layer fence and brick buildings to hide behind. They’re out in the world.”
Apparently it’s clear to those who have read the comics what’s coming next for Rick and Carl (as well as the rest of their group, who too are “out in the world”), but as I haven’t read them I’m totally in the dark. And I like keeping it that way.
What do YOU think is in the cards for Season Four: Part 2 (which premieres on February 9th)?.
