Sebastian Stan is weighing in on who should be the rightful recipient of "America's A**" and he's not giving his support to Chris Evan's Captain America.
During an interview with Rotten Tomatoes TV, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky aka The Winter Soldier, was asked if he thought he could take the mantle of "America's A**" if Anthony Mackie (Falcon) could take the shield. Stan's answer is quite funny and very humble and goes a long way to show that these guys have a solid relationship based on a lot of humor:
"I have to say I have skipped one too many leg days in my time to be able to keep up with the thighs of oak that are sitting out there in New Orleans…And I got to tell you those squats, they keep things high and tight. Count me out…And Evans, he might have those biceps but he ain't got nothing down there either."
The question arose due to an interview that Anthony Mackie was involved with recently. Mackie declared that Sam Wilson aka Falcon had America's A** and not Captain America. It would appear that his The Falcon and The Winter Soldier co-star agrees and it looks like Mackie is a step closer to taking the title if he really wants it.
The concept of Captain America having "America's A**" came in Avengers: Endgame when Steve Rogers (Evans) and the remaining Avengers went on a time-travel mission to recover the Infinity Stones in order to bring everyone back to life. It is Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) that earnestly says that Steve had "America's A**" and after Steve gets into a fight with the past version of himself in the film, it's a notion that he also quips to himself once the battle of the two Caps comes to a conclusion.
It looks like Anthony Mackie gets to inherit more than that shield. Is he truly "America's A**?" Feel free to show your support to Stan, Evans, or Mackie in the comments below!
