I love a good found footage movie. Yet I still haven't had the chance to sit down and watch director Aneesh Chaganty's PG-13 laptop POV thriller SEARCHING starring John Cho (STAR TREK, THE EXORCIST). I've heard many good things about the movie and it has been on my Must-Watch List for a few months now. I'll get to it soon, I hope.
Anyhow, speaking of the creative team behind SEARCHING, today we have word that their newest film RUN, which stars AMERICAN HORROR STORY and GLASS actress Sarah Paulson, will be hitting theaters this January. The film began production back on Halloween, fittingly enough, and wrapped shooting late last year on December 18th, 2018.
Chaganty co-wrote the film's screenplay along with Sev Ohanian (SEARCHING) and the story centers on Paulson's character who plays:
A mother who raises her teenage daughter in isolation, only to see her life begin to unravel as she discovers her mother's sinister secret.
I'm glad to see Paulson getting more big-screen roles lately. She sure as hell deserves them after taking all the shit AMERICAN HORROR STORY has put her through over the years with a smile on her face. I liked her in GLASS even though her character was one of the worst aspects of the film – and that's saying something.
Co-writer Ohanian is also producing the movie along with Natalie Qasabian. The film will be, you know, running into a local multiplex near you via Lionsgate on January 24, 2020. Are you going to be checking out this new movie once it lands in theaters in January 2020? Let us know below!
