The years have certainly changed the Stifmeister. Gone are the days of over-the-top parties and beer with questionable contents. Seann William Scott has come a long way since his days in the AMERICAN PIE franchise, and his latest film takes him into much darker territory.
The Henry Jacobson directed film finds Seann William Scott starring as Evan, a high-school social worker who takes it upon himself to rid the world of child abusers in the most gruesome ways. He also values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. BLOODLINE also stars Mariela Garriga (NIGHTMARE CINEMA), Dale Dickey (Justified), and Kevin Carroll (The Leftovers). The trailer looks promising enough for those into this brand of horror, but I'm more excited at the chance to see Scott stretch his dramatic muscles.
BLOODLINE will hit select theaters and On Demand on September 20, 2019.
