Sean Young on Jug Face and why she may boycott Blade Runner sequel

One film with an interesting premise that we're looking forward to checking out is Chad Crawford Kinkle's JUG FACE, which stars Lauren Ashley Carter, Sean Bridgers, Larry Fessenden, Daniel Manch and the often controversial Sean Young. The film, which arrives in cinemas this Friday, is about a backwoods cult which sacrifices people to a pit-dwelling monster, and recently EW sat down with JUG FACE star Sean Young to talk a bit about the film and the upcoming BLADE RUNNER sequel, and we've got the highlights of the interview below.

I'd just like to preface the following with this: I have often found Sean Young's off-screen antics to be more entertaining than most of her on-screen performances, whether it's crashing an Oscar party, blaming James Wood for 'tarnishing' her career, dressing up as Catwoman in an attempt to convince Tim Burton to cast her, or going on David Letterman's Late Show to beg for film work in an ultra-bizarre interview. When reading her responses to EW's questions it also hit me that perhaps Young should also learn some humility…but then again, that's a rare thing in Hollywood. Just wait until you read what she says about the BLADE RUNNER sequel.

When asked for her initial thoughts on the script for JUG HEAD when she first read it, Young replied…

I thought, “Yay! Someone wants me to be in a movie!”

The script I think is well-written. I’m not much of a horror-girl but I think what makes me unique as an actress is I’m not stuck-up and I really can do anything, given support and given a good crew, a good group. And this is a good group. I don’t watch horror movies myself but I know they’re very popular and it was a good character and I love Lauren and I really thought that it would go well.

Young goes on to discuss her wardrobe for JUG FACE, which were handmade costumes that looked "authentically itch", to which Young replied…

Yeah. And kind of dowdy. I was really impressed. I have another new movie that played the Long Island Film Festival called Send No Flowers. And that’s with Tony Lo Bianco and Gianni Russo and Russ Carmarda. I look really good in this picture. I mean, in Jug Face they actually worked really hard to make me look old and crappy. In Send No Flowers, if you can check it out, you’ll see that I actually look wonderful and cute and fantastic. When I saw Jug Face, I told Andrew (van den Houten, Jug Face producer), “Oh, Andrew, you don’t know how hard it is to see yourself look old when you’ve been one of the most beautiful women in the world.”

I take it she doesn't own any mirrors.

It's the next part of the interview that really got my attention (and certainly not in a good way). When asked about her involvement with Ridley Scott's BLADE RUNNER sequel, this is what came out of Young's piehole:

Mmm, let’s see. Alcon –  they’re the ones that own it and apparently they have Ridley to direct it — and when I met with them they didn’t make any offer-plans to include me. And when I called Ridley Scott’s office, he doesn’t call me back. So I guess they’re going to go, like, prequel or…I don’t know what they’re going to do. But my official opinion is that, if they don’t include me in it, everybody should boycott it. Because it’s stupid not to have me in it. It’s really stupid. That’s my opinion! I mean, you try to tell people something sensible in Hollywood and sometimes they just don’t listen, you know. And they usually pay the price too, because everybody’s an expert.

I guess she better have her picket signs ready for the boycott. Anyone plan on joining her?
