Screw it; why not get a life-size, 8-foot tall Xenomorph statue for $8000

As many of us continue to self-isolate during the COVID-19 crisis, I'm sure that more than a few of you have made some questionable online purchases after you've given up on your sourdough starter, and if you've got the dough, why not spring for the life-sized Xenomorph statue you've always wanted.

Based on Ridley Scott's iconic 1979 film, Hollywood Collectibles Group have crafted an 8-foot tall statue of the Xenomorph which can be yours for the low, low price of $7,999. I can't imagine that many of us have a chunk of change that size for purchases of this nature at the moment, but it's nice to dream. Here are a few photos of the Xenomorph statue.

The Xenomorph, known as Big Chap, has been constructed from fiberglass and mixed media, and to ensure authenticity, the major components of the body can trace their lineage back to the molds used to create the original movie costume. The statue sits atop an Alien-themed display base, and each one has been individually painted to the finest detail. Only 150 of these bad boys will be produced.
