The new Scream movie is set to be released this Friday, January 14 (actually, screenings will start on Thursday the 13th) and the reviews are being posted online – you can find out what our own Gaius Bolling thought of the movie by clicking THIS LINK. If you need more Scream in your life while waiting for your chance to see the new release, there is now a Scream game that you can play!

All you have to do to play this game is head over to SurviveScreamHouse.com, where you can play it in your browser. A trailer for the game can be seen in the embed above, and here’s some more information on it:

Would you like to play a game? This interactive, choose-your-own-adventure 360 game allows players to explore the original Scream house while trying not to get killed by Ghostface. The immersive web-based experience includes hidden easter eggs and franchise trivia questions.

The new Scream movie is a “legacy-quel” from Ready or Not (watch it HERE) directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt also produced the film for Project X Entertainment, alongside Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena serve as executive producers with original Scream writer Kevin Williamson.

The film has the following synopsis:

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
