It was just yesterday that we let you guys know that Scream Factory is going to be bringing us a Collector's Edition Blu-ray of Chuck Russell's remake of THE BLOB this Halloween. And today we have word that Scream Factory will also be bringing us a killer collection of all THE OMEN movies!
Fittingly dubbed THE OMEN BLU-RAY COLLECTION DELUXE EDITION (pre-order HERE) only 10,000 units of the set are being made of the release which will come housed in new collectible rigid slipcover case which you can check out below. It will also be packed with hours of special features including new and existing extras from prior home entertainment releases. Full special features are in progress and will be announced in full on a later date. However, we can confirm today that they will include archival advertising material (trailers, radio & TV spots) that were not on the prior releases and new interviews with David Seltzer, Holly Palance, Lee Grant, Robert Foxworth, Elizabeth Shepherd, and Brian Taggart.
This 5-disc set includes a 4K remaster of Richard Donner's 1976 masterpiece THE OMEN; 1978’s DAMIEN: OMEN II, 1981’s THE FINAL CONFLICT, 1991’s OMEN IV: THE AWAKENING (making its Blu-ray debut) and the 2006 remake. Each film inside the slipcover packaging will receive a dedicated Blu-ray case featuring original theatrical artwork. Similar to how Scream Factory presented the CRITTERS box-set last year.
The original film that kicked off the franchise followed
American diplomat Robert (Gregory Peck) who adopts Damien (Harvey Stephens) when his wife, Katherine (Lee Remick), delivers a stillborn child. After Damien's first nanny hangs herself, Father Brennan (Patrick Troughton) warns Robert that Damien will kill Katherine's unborn child. Shortly thereafter, Brennan dies and Katherine miscarries when Damien pushes her off a balcony. As more people around Damien die, Robert investigates Damien's background and realizes his adopted son may be the Antichrist.
Scream Factory's THE OMEN BLU-RAY COLLECTION (DELUXE EDITION) will be rising just in time for Halloween on October 15, 2019.
