Scream Factory announces Motel Hell and The Legend of Hell House on Blu-ray

Those crazy cats over at the Scream Factory are at it again, bringing us two more cult classic horrors on Blu-ray as their "Summer of Fear" release slate continutes to grow. This time it will be 1980's MOTEL HELL and 1973's THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE getting the Scream Factory treatment.

Over on the official Scream Factory Facebook page it was announced that the Roddy McDowall-starring THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE and Kevin Connor's slasher romp MOTEL HELL will both be coming to Blu-ray in August. MOTEL HELL will be getting the “Collector’s Edition” treatment with slipcover and the newly-designed artwork is already in the works.

There are no other details to report at this time but more will be revealed in May/June as to the specifics.

MOTEL HELL centers on…

Farmer Vincent kidnaps unsuspecting travellers and is burying them in his garden. Unfortunately for his victims, they are not dead. He feeds his victims to prepare them for his roadside stand. His motto is: It takes all kinds of critters…to make Farmer Vincents fritters.

A team consisting of a physicist, his wife, a young female psychic and the only survivor of the previous visit are sent to the notorious Hell House to prove/disprove survival after death. Previous visitors have either been killed or gone mad, and it is up to the team to survive a full week in isolation, and solve the mystery of the Hell House.
