Scream Factory announces Ghoulies/Ghoulies II double feature Blu-ray

Scream Factory’s month-long ‘Shocktober’ celebration continues with two more films announced to be making their Blu-ray debut.

Scream Factory took to their Facebook page to share that 1984’s GHOULIES and its 1988 sequel GHOULIES II (both from Empire Films/Charles Band) will make their debut on the Blu-ray format next Spring as a double-feature!  Even if you’ve never seen the films, I’m sure you’re familiar with the notorious poster design featuring one of the titular creatures popping out of a toilet. The cover art alone was reason enough for me to wanna pick up the original GHOULIES on VHS as a kiddo.

GHOULIES concerns…

A young man and his girlfriend move into an man’s old mansion home, where he becomes possessed by a need to control ancient demons.

The 1988 sequel GHOULIES II picks up…

…a short time after the first movie, a few of the little nasties stow away on an amusement park ride and bring big bucks to a dying fair. The creatures are mad after an attempt to kill them, so the creatures go on a rampage through the fairgrounds, ultimately leading to an explosive conclusion!

There are no details on extras at this time and they will be announced sometime next year, along with a confirmed street date.
