Scream 6 Super Bowl trailer unveiled, 3D fan event details announced

Paramount and Spyglass have unveiled the Scream 6 Super Bowl trailer and announced a special 3D Fan Event screening

A new trailer for Scream 6 – which is set to reach theatres on March 10th – will be airing during the Super Bowl this Sunday… but why wait to catch it during a commercial break when you can just watch that trailer online right now? Along with the unveiling of this trailer comes the announcement that Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group will be holding a special 3D Fan Event Screening of Scream 6 on Thursday, March 9th!

Here’s the information: Fans will be the first to see the film in 3D at the 3D Fan Event Screening on Thursday, March 9th at 5PM local time. The event celebrates the theatrical release of the film’s opening exclusively in theatres with one special show in 3D prior to the film’s wide release at participating theatres across the country including Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and other premium large format theatres. Ticketholders at this screening will also see special content curated for this event, plus will receive a limited-edition collector’s print designed by UK artist Doaly, to be given away at their local theatre on the date of the event – while supplies last. Tickets for the 3D Fan Event and general Scream 6 tickets are on sale today. Paramount’s Chris Aronson provided the following statement: “Scream fans are among the most loyal and passionate out there, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring them this latest terrifying chapter like never before, in a visceral 3D format. In this iteration, the Scream universe moves beyond Woodsboro and into New York City, and the Big Apple called for even bigger scares, surprises, and frightening turns. We can’t wait for fans to see what Ghostface has in store for them this time.

Directed by Scream 2022’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Scream 2022 writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, Scream 6 stars returning Scream 2022 stars Melissa Barrera (as Samantha Carpenter), Jenna Ortega (as Samantha’s sister Tara Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (as Mindy Meeks-Martin), and Mason Gooding (as Mindy’s brother Chad Meeks-Martin), returning Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere (as Kirby Reed), franchise regular Courteney Cox (as Gale Weathers), and franchise newcomers Jack Champion as Ethan, Liana Liberato as Quinn, Devyn Nekoda as Anika, Josh Segarra as Danny, Samara Weaving as Laura, Tony Revolori as Jason, and Dermot Mulroney as Detective Bailey. Henry Czerny is also in the cast, in an unspecified role. Neve Campbell was asked to reprise the role of franchise heroine Sidney Prescott in Scream 6, but passed on it due to a pay dispute.

Vanderbilt is producing Scream 6 with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak for Project X Entertainment. Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Willamson serves as executive producer alongside Chad Villella, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.
