A regular presence in the horror genre over the last ten years, Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN II star Scout Taylor Compton has just finished working on her latest horror project, an independent production called GETAWAY GIRLS.
Compton was joined in the cast by Landry Allbright, Jaclyn Betham (pictured below), Lane Caudell, and Lane Toran.
Also sometimes credited as Toran Caudell, Lane Toran is best known for providing the voice of Arnold on the cartoon Hey Arnold. He is making his feature directorial debut with this film, and also wrote the screenplay with Betham.
GETAWAY GIRLS followsÂ
Tamara Miller as she plans a weekend lake getaway with her two best friends. When Tamara gets kidnapped by a backwoods cult, eerie and unexplained occurrences arise.
Betham is producing the film with Liz Zwiebel and Erin Naifeh.
"A group of young women vs. a backwoods cult" is a promising set-up for a film to have and this is an interesting family affair for Toran (Lane Caudell is his father, Jaclyn Betham is his wife), so GETAWAY GIRLS has my attention. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.
GETAWAY GIRLS was filmed in North Carolina and wrapped production last week.
