We first (and last) heard about TRIGGER back in June, when it was announced Chapman Filmed Entertainment, the production company launched by California’s Chapman University, was making the micro-budget thriller. Has been quite a while since then, but today some casting news has jumped out at us.
According to Scott Daily, the great Scott Glenn (pictured above), character-actor vet Stephen Tobolowsky and Chris Coy have been rounded up for TRIGGER, set to be directed by Chapman alumnus Basel Owies from a script by Max Enscoe.
The brief synopsis:
A character-driven thriller about a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a monster and a son trying to unravel his father’s obsession.
Principal photography is set to begin later this month in California.
Chapman Filmed Entertainment is set up to produce four to six features per year budgeted from $250,000-$1.5m.
