Scott Derrickson, the man behind SINISTER and the forthcoming DELIVER US FROM EVIL, has been leaving quite a mark in the genre over the years, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Per THR, Derrickson is reuniting with his SINISTER co-scribe C. Robert Cargill to write the big-screen take of the cult classic 1960s sci-fi TV series “The Outer Limits”. Together they’ll be focusing on just one episode in particular—‘Demon With a Glass Hand’, which was written by Harlan Ellison.
If you're anything like me and you aren't caught up on your 1960s sci-fi television shows, then you're probably going to want to know what in the actual hell 'Demon With a Glass Hand' is all about, and most importantly, will it make for a good feature film? The answer is yes, so much yes. That particular episode offers a lot to get excited about as the duo will be tackling time travel, alien invasion and genetic manipulation. The episode focuses on…

Like “The Twilight Zone”, the other famous anthology series from that era, the show had a well-known opening with a narrator telling viewers, “There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission….”
Getting all up in that production hooplah is Mark Victor via his Mark Victor Production with MGM behind the project. Derrickson will work on the script while he preps DOCTOR STRANGE for Marvel.
