The last time Martin Scorsese and Harvey Keitel teamed up for a feature film was what, THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST? Help a brother out. The years, they’ve corroded my long term memory. Either way, they’re sorta kinda teaming up again for the romantic drama CHAOS. They’re not doing the director/actor thing (Scorsese’ got Leonardo DiCaprio for that), they’re producing the flick together. Under director Daphna Kastner from a script he wrote himself, the film follows “two lovelorn people whose lives intersect in the city”. Sounds awfully mushy for two peeps who’ve made a career out of savagely murdering anyone who dicks around with their characters. The flick is expected to shoot in Gotham before June 30th when SAG’s contract expires. For now get your Scorsese fix with the upcoming SHINE A LIGHT and SHUTTER ISLAND and get your Keitel fix in the currently playing NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS.
