join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans…and this time, we are told, the threat is real.
And Morgan's casting seems to confirm this plot as he will be voicing none other than… wait for it… Captain Caveman! Nice, right?
This new movie will be the first SCOOBY-DOO movie to hit the big-screen since SCOOBY-DOO 2: MONSTERS UNLEASHED (see above) back in 2004. That film was directed by Raja Gosnell from a screenplay by James Gunn based on Scooby-Doo by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears. It starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini, Seth Green, Peter Boyle, Tim Blake Nelson, and Alicia Silverstone.
It followed this synopsis:
In this live-action sequel, the lovable dog Scooby-Doo once again joins his pals Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Velma (Linda Cardellini), Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar) as they stumble into another seemingly supernatural mystery. In addition to facing off against various monsters that are tormenting their town, the gang must deal with television journalist Heather Jasper-Howe (Alicia Silverstone), who is out to discredit their investigations.
This new SCOOBY-DOO movie is slated to pass thinly-veiled stoner jokes along to our children come May 2020. How excited are you for this big-screen animated SCOOBY-DOO reboot? Who would you like to see join the cast as Fred and Daphne? Let us know below!
