Scarlett Johansson bursts forth from the teaser for Ghost in the Shell

So far, Rupert Sanders' live-action anime adaptation GHOST IN THE SHELL has only been teased in the briefest of glimpses online. That hasn't changed today, but the new 13-second teaser for the flick promises a full length trailer this weekend, on Sunday, November 13th. And you'd be surprised what they get up to in such a short time, showing off Scarlett Johansson in her full costume kicking some bad guy ass with aplomb. Check it out below!

This adaptation of GHOST IN THE SHELL, which was written by Jonathan Herman and Jamie Moss, stars Johansson as Major:

a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

The film also stars Rila Fukushima, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Juliette Binoche, Beat Takeshi, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo.

The flick hits theaters pretty soon, on March 31, 2017.
