THE BYE BYE MAN is certainly an indecisive fellow, isn't he? Originally slated for release this October, the flick – from HOOD OF HORROR director Stacy Title – was then moved to June. But now the film has bounced even further back, changing its release date to December 9, 2016.
December is a decent place for horror, considering that that's when SCREAM made its premiere back in 1996, but could THE BYE BYE MAN really have been scared away from a cushy summer slot by TMNT 2 and POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING? They don't exactly have the same demographic. I suspect the studios are going to put a little more spit and polish on this paranormal shocker behind the scenes.
THE BYE BYE MAN is about:
Three college students who move off-campus and unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity.
The three college students will be played by Douglas Smith (STAGE FRIGHT), Cressida Bonas, and Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens).
The film also stars Carrie-Anne Moss (THE MATRIX), Faye Dunaway (BONNIE AND CLYDE, CHINATOWN), Michael Trucco (HUSH), and Doug Jones (PAN'S LABYRINTH) as the titular entity.
