Savage Salvation: Jack Huston, Robert De Niro, and John Malkovich raise hell in the new action-packed trailer

Some drug dealers think they can get away with anything, but what happens when their product kills the wrong person, and people they love swear revenge? We’re about to find out. The Avenue and Highland Film Group have dropped a trailer and key art for Savage Salvation, an upcoming action film that takes no prisoners when it comes time to clean up the streets. The Savage Salvation trailer is action-packed and reveals elements about the forthcoming movie that bring a bit of mystery to a rough-and-tumble town.

Randall Emmett (Midnight in the Switchgrass) directs from a script by Adam Taylor Baker and Chris Sivertson. Savage Salvation stars Jack Huston (American Hustle, Outlander), Robert De Niro (Raging Bull, Cape Fear, Taxi Driver), John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich, Dangerous Liaisons), with Willa Fitzgerald (Reacher, The Fall of the House of Usher), and Quavo (The Waterboyz, Fallout).

Here’s the official synopsis for Savage Salvation:

Sheriff Church (Robert De Niro) and Detective Zeppelin strive to keep the peace in their rough town, where residents’ only two interests are the church or oxycodone. Newly engaged Shelby John (Jack Huston) and Ruby Red want a fresh start. They decide to have a family together and get clean, with the support of Peter, Ruby’s brother-in-law (John Malkovich). However, Shelby discovers his beloved Ruby dead on their porch before she can fulfill her final wish: to be baptized in the river and washed away from her past sins. Filled with fiery rage, Shelby embarks on a vengeful killing spree to right all the wrong done to Ruby by every link in the drug dealing chain. Armed with nothing but adrenaline and a nail gun, Shelby picks off dealers and junkies one by one until he gets to the top. Sheriff Church and Detective Zeppelin must race against the clock to end Shelby’s vigilante justice before his fight with the crime lord Coyote (Quavo) turns the entire town into a bloodbath.

The Savage Salvation trailer includes plenty of violent scenes as Shelby John searches for the pushers responsible for distributing the drugs contributing to Ruby Red’s death. Some villains will do anything to maintain an iron grip on their empire, but Shelby John looks to burn it all to the ground as he attempts to correct a monumental wrong.

Savage Salvation comes to theaters, Digital, and On Demand on December 2, 2022.
