Sausage Party: Foodtopia: Amazon teams with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for a raunchy animated series

Fire up the grill, sharpen your knives, and prepare for another food fight because Sausage Party is on the menu again. Amazon Prime Video is teaming up with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for Sausage Party: Foodtopia, an animated series based on the 2016 comedy. Consisting of eight episodes, the first season of Sausage Party: Foodtopia features original voice cast members reprising their roles, including Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton. Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Yassir Lester, and Natasha Rothwell also star.

“Film used to be the superior art form to television, and we humbly reached the pinnacle of what can be achieved with film in our remarkable opus, Sausage Party,” said Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who serve as executive producers. “But now that film is completely dead and TV is the forever-king of entertainment, we’ve decided to continue the epic adventures of our culinary crew in the soon-to-be-legendary televised masterpiece Sausage Party: Foodtopia. It’s got all the heart, double the puns and triple the food-on-food sex. In other words, it’s exactly what the world needs right now.”

Nothing helps people ignore outrageous gas prices, loathsome political figures, and wishy-washy mask mandates like food fucking for your entertainment. Sausage Party: Foodtopia is the American Dream in action if gross-out comedy goes down easier than a stack of pancakes on a relaxing Sunday morning. I wonder what Rogen and Goldberg mean by the word “Foodtopia.” Will the fruits and vegetables search for an oasis where food never spoils or gets eaten? What happens when food products escape the dangers of man and beast but find themselves victims of Father Time?

What do you think about Rogen and Goldberg returning to the grocery store for Sausage Party: Foodtopia? Could this be Amazon’s next breakthrough hit? Let us know if you’ve still got an appetite for this animated comedy in the comments.
