Believe it or not, but despite being two of the biggest actors working in the '90s, Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt have never worked together. Deadline has reported that that's about to change as Bullock is slated to join Pitt in Bullet Train, an assassin thriller directed by David Leitch (Hobbs & Shaw).
Based on the popular manga Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train is expected to follow several "assassins who find themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. Strangely, they discover their missions are not unrelated to each other." As with most of the casting news surrounding Bullet Train, it's not known who Sandra Bullock will be playing at this time. In addition to Bullock and Pitt, Bullet Train will also feature Joey King (The Kissing Booth), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (The King's Man), Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals), Andrew Koji (Warrior), Zazie Beetz (Joker), Masi Oka (Heroes), Michael Shannon (Knives Out), Logan Lerman (Hunters), and Lady Gaga (A Star is Born). In addition to directing, David Leitch is also slated to supervise the script which is being penned by Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street).
It's actually been a couple of years since we saw Sandra Bullock on the big-screen, as her last appearance was in Netflix's Bird Box in 2018. She also wrapped shooting on an untitled drama directed by Nora Fingscheidt (System Crasher) and written by Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) last year, in which she stars as a woman attempting to rebuild her life after serving time in orison for committing a violent crime. The film, which is based on the 2009 miniseries Unforgiven, also stars Viola Davis, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Rob Morgan, and more.
