Samuel L. Jackson will star in the TV thriller The Old Man by Thomas Perry

Do me a favor, okay? Fire up your best Oprah Winfrey impression and shout the words, "You get a television series! You get a television series! Even Samuel L. Jackson gets a television series!" Nicely done. I knew that I could count on you.

Indeed, it appears as if Samuel L. Jackson will be making his way to the small screen for the lead role on OLD MAN, a television series adaptation of the spy thriller novel written by Thomas Perry. For the show, Jackson will star as Dan Chase, a seemingly harmless widower living as a retiree in Vermont. Only, it turns out that Dan is really a former Army intelligence agent who's been living life as a fugitive for over 35 years after a mission of his went tits up in Libya. For some time, he's been hiding out and doing his thing, but now, Chase has found himself a target once more.

OLD MAN is being developed by FARGO executive producer Warren Littlefield and BLACK SAILS co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg with Fox 21 Television Studios along for the mission. For the moment, the show is being shopped to multiple major cable networks and streaming platforms while finalizing its plans for distribution. Personally, I've no doubt that the show will sell like hotcakes, especially when you consider Jackson's major star power. Hell, I'm already interested in this program simply because he's in it.

With any luck, we'll have more details on OLD MAN soon. For now, you can catch Samuel in a series of upcoming films including: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, INCREDIBLES 2, THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD, and many more!
