In THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD, Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson have the opportunity to take on a brand new buddy comedy. The two actors seem to relish the shoot 'em up action and the consistant wisecracking, and clearly both of these fine gents are quite good at that kind of thing. Directed by Patrick Hughes, with a screenplay by Tom O'Connor, the film also stars the incredible Gary Oldman and Salma Hayek. There is humor, action and the fellas appear to be having one hell of a great time working together.
We recently sat down with Reynolds and Jackson to talk about the new film and working together. They discussed the idea of taking on a buddy comedy and working together. Talking about buddy flicks, Jackson even brought up another flick that you may remember, a little feature called DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE. Not only did I have a great time with both of these terrific actors, we also had the opportunity to chat with a JoBlo favorite, the lovely Salma Hayek. She talked about why she took on this particular film and about adding a little creative – and comedic – input. If you are looking for a little summer comedic action, check out THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD this Friday at a theatre near you.
