While doing the press scene for his upcoming thriller MAN ON A LEDGE Sam Worthington disclosed a few details about WRATH OF THE TITANS. The actor had been outspoken over CLASH OF THE TITANS and the fact that he thought it wasn’t a good film. He promised this sequel would be much better, and knowing the man speaks his mind, this is good news for those awaiting the film.
“I saw it the other day and I love it. I think it did exactly what I wanted. There were things about the first one that I felt that I, personally, could improve myself on and work a bit harder on.”
If that isn’t a golden seal of approval I don’t know what is. Seems Sam picked up his game as did everyone else, and I might even give the film a chance seeing as I really hated CLASH and I fell asleep within 15 minutes. Worthington also added that it is a fucking huge Blockbuster, nothing wrong with one of those on the brink of Summer film season. Lastly the man mentioned he was meeting with James Cameron next week, in regards to AVATAR 2! I am sure more news will surface about that in due time.
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Sam Worthington) –the demigod son of Zeus (Liam Neeson)–is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston).
The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.
Look for the film on March 30th!
