I don't know about you, but I consider one of the utter masters of horror out there to be director Sam Raimi. Sure the man has spent his fair share of time making more kid-friendly fare such as SPIDER-MAN movies and OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, but Raimi started – and is never better – in the horror genre with EVIL DEAD and the more recent DRAG ME TO HELL.
On top of his directing career, Raimi has been keeping the horror genre up and running for years now, lending his producing talents to such films as THE GRUDGE, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, DON'T BREATHE, and THE POSSESSION to name a few. And today we have word via Deadline that Raimi is now taking his producing talents to the small screen with an all-new horror series for NewTV called 50 STATES OF FEAR.
Get it?
Gunpowder & Sky will produce alongside Tony DiSanto who developed the project. Tommy Coriale and Debbie Liebling will executive produce. Not much else is known about the series at this time, but make sure to keep checking back with us here at AITH and we'll let you know as soon as we hear more.
Until then make sure to hit us up below and let us know what movie YOU think is Raimi's best… Wait for it… As a producer. This should be interesting.
