Safer at Home: Exclusive Clip previews Will Wernick pandemic thriller

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Director Will Wernick's pandemic thriller Safer at Home is getting a theatrical, VOD, and Digital release this Friday, February 26th, and today we're proud to share an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film that drops us into the middle of a wide-scale, horrific situation.

Scripted by Wernick and Lia Bozonelis, Safer at Home has the following synopsis:

Two years into the pandemic, a group of friends throw an online party with a night of games, drinking and drugs. After taking an ecstasy pill, things go terribly wrong and the safety of their home becomes more terrifying than the raging chaos outside.

Here's a bit more information:

The film is set in 2022 and imagines a world ravaged by several strains of COVID, leaving millions displaced. As a group of friends decide to take drugs in a Zoom celebration, things go haywire and one friend must leave his home, despite the strict curfew, to escape the police.

The film was shot during the real pandemic we've been enduring for the last year. Wernick worked with a small team to capture the footage during LA's curfew last summer.

Wernick produced the film with John Ierardi and Bo Youngblood.

Safer at Home stars Jocelyn Hudon, Emma Lahana, Alisa Allapach, Adwin Brown, Dan J. Johnson, Michael Kupisk, and Daniel Robaire.

Give the clip embedded above a look, and get ready to check out Safer at Home this weekend!
