Bad Blood Films’ folk horror film Sacrilege is getting a digital download release in the UK on September 27th, and today we’re proud to share an EXCLUSIVE clip from the movie. Check it out in the embed above! If you like what you see, you can pre-order Sacrilege on iTunes at THIS LINK and Apple TV HERE.

Written and directed by David Creed, Sacrilege assembles a cast that includes Tamaryn Payne (Hollyoaks), Emily Wyatt (Rise of the Footsoldier), Sian Abrahams (Complete Strangers), Naomi Willow (A Guide to Second Date Sex), Ian Champion (Property), Rory Wilton (Fisherman’s Friends), and Emma Spurgin Hussey (Poldark) to tell the following story:

Four lifelong friends head to a remote lodge for a weekend of fun. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly descends into a fight for their lives when a local Pagan cult offer them up to their Goddess as a sacrifice for the Solstice.

Sacrilege was produced by Mark Kenna, and was originally scheduled to receive a wide release in the UK in March of 2020. There was a packed premiere at Empire Cineworld in Leicester Square – but then the pandemic hit and the release plans had to be changed. Kenna had this to say about the film getting its UK release a year and a half later:

We’re thrilled that UK audiences will finally be able to get the chance to watch Sacrilege. We’ve been blown away by its reception in the US and it’s great to see it finally come home after a tumultuous eighteen months.”

This is the first feature length title from Bad Blood Films, but they’re already in different stages of production on five more horror projects, including the supernatural film The Rippers Ghost and the creature feature Facility 31.
