Director Robin Pront's thriller THE SILENCING was meant to make its premiere at the SXSW film festival last month. Sadly, SXSW had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but THE SILENCING is still moving toward its release.
Saban Films has announced that they will be releasing the film in the United States. A release date has not yet been revealed, but we'll let you know when the information is made available.
Written by Micah Ranum, THE SILENCING stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Melanie Scrofano, Zahn McClarnon, and Shaun Smyth in the story of
a reformed hunter living in isolation on a wildlife sanctuary who becomes involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he and the local Sheriff set out to track a vicious killer who may have kidnapped his daughter years ago.
Saban Films' Bill Bromiley says,
Nikolaj and Annabelle are fantastic in this thrilling tale that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats."
Cybill Lui Eppich of Anova Pictures produced the film, with Saban Films executive producing alongside Aram Tertzakian and Maxime Cottray of XYZ Films.
THE SILENCING seems interesting to me, so I look forward to finding out more about the distribution plans.
