Deadpool may be alive and well in his upcoming feature film but in the funny-pages, he is most definitely an ex-Deadpool. Issue #45 of Deadpool hit the streets today and features the well publicized demise of the character. Ryan Reynolds, currently filming DEADPOOL in Vancouver, took some time out to poke fun at the event by throwing this image up on his Twitter:

Has anyone ever actually believed it when Marvel or DC has announced the death of one of their characters? We all know they'll be back and Deadpool will be no different; it's just a matter of how soon and when. Thankfully we have the film to look forward to as well as more peeks at Ryan Reynolds in that fantastic looking costume.

The official synopsis of DEADPOOL:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds periodically fields serious inquiries from fans and just recently responded to a question asking how he breathes in his Deadpool suit:

Truly fascinating, I'll have to try that. DEADPOOL opens February 12, 2016.
