Even if DEADPOOL ends up being a huge disappointment (which seems unlikely given the first reactions to the film) I think we can all agree that the marketing surrounding DEADPOOL has been just about perfect; it's been bizarre, hilarious, and very fitting to the character that Deadpool represents. DEADPOOL's latest piece of viral marketing sees Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) taking some time out from dispatching foes with bullets and wisecracks to wish the people of Australia a happy Australia Day. However, despite admiring Australia's "shady criminal past and predilection for black-out drinking," Deadpool can't forgive the Australian people for one small transgression.
Check it out!
When it comes time for the inevitable DEADPOOL Blu-ray/DVD release, I can only hope that there's going to be room for all these little pieces of DEADPOOL marketing to be rounded up in one place. Ryan Reynolds has said that the DEADPOOL Blu-ray/DVD is "going to have a sh*t ton of DVD extras," so I'd imagine that's a good sign.
