Over the past several months, we've seen plenty of reunions, virtual table-reads, and other celebrity get-togethers of that nature due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As part of Global Goal: Unite for Our Future, a fundraising concert hosted by Dwayne Johnson, a few members of the cast of X-MEN, including Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, and Famke Janssen, got together on Zoom to share a few stories, but wouldn't you know it, Ryan Reynolds makes an uninvited appearance. That lil' stinker.
After poking fun at the ever-shifting X-MEN timeline (which includes a couple of surprise guests), the short clip comes to an end with a reunion for what is widely regarded to be the worst film in the entire X-MEN franchise — X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. Check it out for yourself. Speaking of the original film, the first X-MEN movie will be celebrating its twentieth anniversary next month, which is crazy. As far as the future of the X-MEN franchise goes, we've got the continually-delayed NEW MUTANTS to look forward to on August 28, 2020 (unless it moves again, which wouldn't surprise me) and the mutants themselves will undoubtedly join the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in the future now that Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox.
