Ryan Reynolds pushes Aviation Gin in hilarious Croods 2 promo

Ryan Reynolds, The Croods: A New Age, Aviation Gin, promo

Ryan Reynolds has a special message for all the mommies and daddies out there who enjoy a nip of something invigorating in their "juice." That's right, responsible drinkers, I'm talking about Aviation Gin, that appetizing intoxicant that goes down smooth and gives your naughty bits a little tussle right at the end.

Reynolds, forever the understated salesman, has released a new plug for his animated film The Croods: A New Age, that in no way whatsoever promotes his alcoholic wonder to parents.

"Hi there. Ryan Reynolds, star of the upcoming film The Croods: A New Age, here to tell you this is absolutely not an ad for or a partnership with my top-of-the-line best-selling gin. No way. That’s because we all know The Croods: A New Age is a family film and that gin is for mommies and daddies only. Nope, this is merely an ad for gin’s friendly counterpart, juice," Reynolds explains to viewers of all ages in the new promo. "Who doesn’t love the fruity goodness of juice? Juice has been enjoyed by families of all shapes and sizes since the Stone Age. And yes, evolved mommies and daddies like their juice with a little bit of the previously mentioned gin, which as I said, has no place in the video. Go see The Croods: A New Age this holiday season," he continues in his signature "I'm a good boy" style. Promptly thereafter, Reynolds presents a bottle of Grandpa's old cough medicine, Aviation Gin. Then, while never breaking eye contact with the camera, he takes a hearty swig of the good stuff, abandoning his glass of juice that shall now go wanting.

Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as Guy for The Croods: A New Age, the sequel to Dreamworks Animation's 2013 animated smash-hit. For the long-gestating sequel, the prehistoric family the Croods are challenged by a rival family the Bettermans, who claim to be better and more evolved. Joining Reynolds for the follow-up are actors Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, Clark Duke, Leslie Mann, Peter DInklage, and Kelly Marie Tran as Dawn Betterman.

The film has managed to earn a worldwide total of $76+ million while in theaters during the ongoing pandemic. That's a fair bit of bones, or clams, or whatever it is Neanderthals used as currency back in the day. It just goes to show, you can't keep a solid source of family entertainment down, even during a global crisis.
